Re memo of SA [redacted] dated 1/10/75, captioned as above.
At 2:15 P.M., 1/10/75, Dr. [redacted] Medical [redacted] Clackamas County, Oregon, telephoned to advise that the Clackamas County Sheriff's Office has a skull found in the Mount Hood National Forest area, reportedly in Grid 67, Section 6, 4½ miles southeast of Ripple Brook Ranger Station. Dr. [redacted] was furnished the skull for examination. The doctor received information from the Clackamas County Sheriff's Office that a parachute was found in a fir tree several months ago and allegedly is still hanging there. In view of this, the doctor thought there might be a connection between the skull and COOPER, subject of the NORJAK investigation. Dr. [redacted] indicated that according to the information he has, the parachute was found almost two years ago and that in addition, one [redacted] Clackamas County Sheriff's Office, found a man's clothing in about August or September of 1974 in the same general area where the skull was found. According to the doctor, the clothes were never brought into the Sheriff's Office.
Dr. [redacted] would like to know if we had any identifying data regarding COOPER on which an identification can be made with the skull, that is, proven or disproven identification. He was advised that we will look into this although it is very doubtful if we have any information that might assist him with identifying the skull as to being that of COOPER.
According to referenced memo, Agent [redacted] is attempting to obtain dental charts regarding [redacted]
