Re memo of SA [REDACTED] 8/4/76.
On 8/6/76, [REDACTED], Portland, was telephonically contacted by SA [REDACTED]
This contact was precipitated after it was determined that SA [REDACTED] had inadvertently furnished incorrect informa- tion to [REDACTED] during a conversation which occurred on 7/30/76 pertaining to [REDACTED]
While the results of the investigation as pertains to [REDACTED] were not discussed during the conversation of 7/30/76, there were comments during the conversation referring to the description of [REDACTED] being similar to that of unsub D. B. COOPER except [REDACTED] than the unsub. At the time of the conversation, SA [REDACTED] was under the impression that [REDACTED] After discussing this matter with the case AGent, it became apparent that there was a discrepancy and that in actuality, [REDACTED] [REDACTED] was then recontacted to rectify this point.
[REDACTED] stated on 8/6/76 that although [REDACTED] [REDACTED] is not identical to D. B. COOPER, [REDACTED] [REDACTED] been investigated by the FBI."
