MEDIA RELATIONS

On 11/1/76, [REDACTED] "Portland Daily Journal of Commerce," Portland, Oregon, telephonically inquired as to whether or not he could arrange an appointment to interview the Special Agent responsible for the hijacking of the aircraft in the Portland file referred to as NORJAK. Arrangements were subsequently made for [REDACTED] to meet with SA [REDACTED] and SA [REDACTED] at the Portland Office on 11/10/76.

---

On 11/10/76 [REDACTED] did, in fact, meet with SAs [REDACTED] at which time he conducted an interview of SA [REDACTED] regarding NORJAK. It was obvious that [REDACTED] had prepared himself very well for this interview and he stated it was his intention to publish it in "The Portland Daily Journal of Commerce."

---

On 11/15/76, SA [REDACTED] was interviewed by [REDACTED] for KYXI Radio, Oregon City, Oregon. The subject of this interview was the Bureau's continuing investi- gation into the hijacking of the Northwest Airlines flight in the case entitled NORJAK. [REDACTED] stated he intended to break this interview up into several segments that would be broadcast as a series on KYXI Radio during the Thanksgiving week of 1976.
