Re Seattle teletype to Portland, 12/1/71, 9:35 a.m.

Re: Skytracker, Medford, Oregon

Review of Portland file discloses lead in referenced teletype was covered on 12/1/71, but Seattle was never advised of the results.

On 12/1/71, [REDACTED b6/b7C], Pacific Northwest Bell, Grants Pass, Oregon, advised SA [REDACTED b6/b7C] that telephone number (503) 476-5126 is subscribed to by LLOYD E. WHITEHEAD, 515 NE 8th Street, Grants Pass.

Mr. WHITEHEAD is well known to the Grants Pass Police Department and Josephine County Sheriff's Office as a "nut." He is a very elderly man who calls the Police Department and Sheriff's Office frequently offering his assistance in locating fugitives, particularly if there has been a great deal of publicity. WHITEHEAD purposes to locate these fugitives through the use of a divining rod and a map.

In view of the above contact regarding WHITEHEAD, no further investigation of WHITEHEAD warranted.
