---

Re Seattle memo of SA [redacted], 3/3/72.

On March 31, 1972, [redacted] Moore Motor Hotel, Second and Virginia, Seattle, Washington, provided the following information:

On October 27, 1971, RALPH L. GRIFFIN, PO Box 1291, Olympia, Washington, checked into the hotel. As identification he presented a business card showing the above address and also giving a firm name of R & J Fire Prevention Service. He checked into room [redacted] with a man by the name of [redacted]. Though both men stayed in the room, the room was taken under GRIFFIN's name.

On November 12, 1971, the maid responsible for cleaning room [redacted] advised [redacted] that the people occupying room [redacted] had apparently skipped since everything had been cleaned out of the room and there was no evidence of occupancy the previous night.

[redacted] provided the hotel bill for GRIFFIN which reflected that GRIFFIN had made long distance phone calls on October 30, 1971, to telephone number [redacted] on November 1, 1971 to telephone number [redacted] and on November 4, 1971 to telephone numbers [redacted] and [redacted]. The bill also reflected that [redacted] had [redacted] payable to [redacted] on November 1, 2 and 9, 1971.
