Memorandum

TO : SAC, SEATTLE (164-81) (C) DATE: 5/18/72

FROM : SA [REDACTED] b6 b7C SUBJECT: NORJAK [REDACTED]

---

[guess: Elim]

---

On January 10, 1972, a photograph of [REDACTED] was secured from the Fort Lawton, Washington, [REDACTED]. His photograph was displayed to witnesses CORD SPECKEL and [REDACTED] in Seattle, Washington. Both witnesses advised that there is no similar physical resemblance between [REDACTED] and the subject of NORJAK hijacking.

---

[REDACTED] Fort Lawton, Washington, advised on January 10, 1972, that when [REDACTED] [REDACTED] Seattle, Washington, he had in his possession two traveler's checks for $20 each, and made no statement to the effect that he had $600 in traveler's checks in his room in Seattle, Washington. [REDACTED] said he did not know where the story that [REDACTED] had $600 in $20 traveler's checks had originated, but stated that he knew nothing of such actually being correct.

---

In view of the fact that [REDACTED] has been eliminated by two witnesses in Seattle, as being a suspect in NORJAK hijacking, and that there is no other evidence to indicate that [REDACTED] was connected with the NORJAK hijacking, it is recommended that this sub file be closed as a NORJAK suspect.
