On 1/13/72, [REDACTED] Santa Cruz, California advised that EDWARD JOHN RYDER, JR. resided as a guest at his motel from 11/7 through 11/12/71 and also from 11/24 through 11/25/71. RYDER paid for his motel accomodations by using Union Oil credit card number 800-04- 385 and gave a Post Office Box number (unrecalled), Phoenix, Arizona as a residence. [REDACTED] stated RYDER has been a guest at his motel on at least three or four previous occasions.
On 1/14/72, [REDACTED] advised that EDWARD JOHN RYDER, JR. had Thanksgiving dinner with [REDACTED] on 11/24/71 at Santa Cruz.
Efforts to locate [REDACTED] Santa Cruz, negative to date.
In view of the above contacts indicating RYDER's alibi corresponds with information given to Agents on
