Investigative insert, Los Angeles, re interview about suspect 'Bob Love' at Pine Mountain Club

The following investigation was conducted by Special Agent [REDACTED] at Los Angeles, California:

After several cancellations, [REDACTED] appeared at the Los Angeles Office of the Federal Bureau of Investigation accompanied by a women who wanted to remain anonymous. The woman stated that the reason she wanted to remain anonymous was that she was in the [REDACTED]. She picked the name [REDACTED] to be called. It should be noted that [REDACTED] was not recognized as [REDACTED].

[REDACTED] advised that she and her husband have been residing part time in south Kern County in the community, Pine Mountain Club, California. She stated that a resident, BOB LOVE has lived in the community for approximately 12 years. He is a very secretive individual, never really discussing his past. He mentioned that he had been in the military and seemed to have knowledge of parachuting, but [REDACTED] was unable to say if it was through experience or by some other means.

She recalled that 10 years ago, LOVE had approximately $50,000 in cash, which he deposited in the 1st International Bank, Frazier Park, California. LOVE never mentioned where he got the money. She added that he has never worked as far as she knows and could provide no reason for him having that amount of cash.

[REDACTED] sated that several months ago the D.B. COOPER incident was aired on Unsolved Mysterious. She stated that after seeing the television program, she feels that BOB LOVE resembles an aged D.B. COOPER. At this point, [REDACTED] indicated that her involvement in the [REDACTED] was in [REDACTED]. She stated that from her experience and belief, BOB LOVE could be an aged D.B.COOPER. She described BOB LOVE as a white male, approximately 57 years of age, gray balding hair, 5'11", 235 pounds. When asked specifically about LOVE making statements about being D.B. COOPER, hijacking airplanes or extortion, [REDACTED] could provide no information which could connect them as being the same person, other then resembling each other.

[REDACTED] advised that BOB LOVE resides in a house believed to be on [REDACTED] in the City of Pine Mountain Club. She stated the house does not have numbers but is bleived to be owned by [REDACTED] who has [REDACTED] [REDACTED] Commercial Center, Pine Mountain Club.

[REDACTED] stated that [REDACTED] is a good friend of BOB LOVE, and may not be totally cooperative, unless approached

appropriately. She added that Pine Mountain Club is a small community which is patrolled by the Kern County Sheriff's Office, Frazier Park Substation.

She stated that LOVE has recently been driving a Gray Nissan pickup with California license 3Z12509.

A check through the California Law Enforcement Telecommunications System (CLETS) revealed that California vehicle license [REDACTED] was on a [REDACTED] pickup, registered to [REDACTED] Frazier Park, California.

CLETS further revealed that [REDACTED] He is described as follows:

Sex Male Date of Birth [REDACTED] Height 6'1" Weight 190 pounds Hair Brown Eyes Brown Address [REDACTED] Frazier Park [REDACTED] (effective 10/3/91)

CLETS revealed numerous California driver's license under the name BOB LOVE. The check reveal several in the 57-60 age group, but none with a Frazier Park or Pine Mountain Club address.

On 4/27/92, [REDACTED] recontacted the FBI office, and advised that [REDACTED] had no further information to provide. He also stated that BOB LOVE is still residing in Pine Mountain Club, according to [REDACTED].
