ADDENDUM:
SA [REDACTED] interviewed [REDACTED] on November 27, 1971, at which time she advised that she was traveling on a two lane highway with clear fields on her right, which would be east of the northbound highway. She recalled that this inci- dent happened when she was estimating about 20 or 25 miles from a city since she recalls that in about 20 minutes while traveling approximately 60 miles an hour she arrived through a large town. She said the man was dressed in dark clothing, wearing a full-length overcoat and carrying a metallic-type suitcase. She recalls seeing him come out of the fields upon the road in a westerly direction, turning right going north on the highway, since she remembers splashing water on him.
I called SA MATSON on November 27, 1971, and asked him to have an Agent do a neighborhood in this area south of Eugene, Oregon, to see if any information concerning this matter could be developed.
