The following investigation was conducted at Tombstone, Arizona, by SA [redacted]
On August 1, 1972, [redacted] Tombstone, was interviewed concerning the matter under investigation and was questioned concerning his know- ledge of a Mr. AL HARTLEY. [redacted] explained that he thought HARTLEY could possibly be a suspect in this matter because HARTLEY is a "con man", possibly a former paratrooper, and is now living in Mexico. [redacted] described HARTLEY as being nearly 60 years old, in poor physical condition, with gray hair, 6' to 6' 1" in height, 150-160 pounds.
---
[redacted] advised that he thought HARTLEY previously lived in Las Vegas where he worked as a city detective. Prior to that, he allegedly lived somewhere in California where he might have a record.
---
[redacted] could furnish no additional information concerning the matter under investigation.
