Also obtained during this search was a copy of a letter dated September 19, 1972, from the Federal Communications Commission enclosing an authorization for Advance Associates, Inc., to operate its mobile radio equipment in the continental United States on a frequency of 151.625 (MHz). The call letters assigned were KQ 3011. The letter notes that the FCC was unable to grant full authorization as requested since it found that harmful interference to Canadian Operations on that frequency would result if operated within 75 miles of Vancouver, British Columbia, Winnepeg, Manitoba, Fort William, Toronto, Peterborough, Ontario, and the southern portion of the Province of Quebec.

During this search there was also found a sheet of paper upon which was handprinted "ADVANCE ASSOCIATES" and titled "Code of Signals and General Staff." It read in part that "The use of mobil units in all company vehicles are to be used and respected as if it were your own personal weapon." It said a code of signals had been devised which would be presented to the "Commandante" for final approval. It was authored "Capt. Enforcer" and signed [REDACTED] A second sheet of paper with a handprinted caption of "Advance Associates - Code of Signals" reflects a numerical code from number one through twenty-three with meanings opposite designed for communication between two or more people through the utilization of these numbers.
