Sir:
I have to assume you received my letter a month ago concerning my suspicion of sky jacking of N.W. plane.
After seeing composite drawing on T.V. two nights ago am more positive than ever I could be right.
I assumed you would check [REDACTED] to see if [REDACTED] was there and if not there the F.B.I would run a check.
Having gave you info. on old case F.B.I don't credit after so many years I have to consider possibility you have me down as a crank so would discount what would seem another wild story.
All I'm looking for is transfer to my home state where I can have visits and a plus or two when I go before the board in less than four years at age 65.
Just happens I have been in a position to learn many things. See my life coming to an end, & want to be on the right side for a change.
Could be I'm wrong about this plane thing, but if so is really an amazing coincidence.
If you study my record and [REDACTED] record it would look like I'm [REDACTED]

guy and [REDACTED] the good guy. I said nothing to the contrary because of [REDACTED] [REDACTED], but even they have blamed me for leading their [REDACTED] astray. If a person has a long record as I have, people will believe anything bad about him, and often their right. Not always. Let me give you some facts that should prove another side of this picture. [REDACTED] in 1963 went to [REDACTED] Warren Smith (from Alcatraz – Lynwood Bank 1963 May 29) and asked him to show him [REDACTED] how to make some big money. They pulled many robbery together but only stores. [REDACTED] robbed many places by his self. a large store in [REDACTED] hide in store till close doors. A very large store in Seattle (grocery) [REDACTED] Very large number of customers. few thousand dollars from managers office. (mostly one dollar bills) about [REDACTED] a Safeway about [REDACTED] [REDACTED] in (merchant [guess: Patrolman] form) full store, less than 2000⁰⁰ — Another Safeway store just over [REDACTED] and right two blocks. (hide out) held boy while manager went and got the money out of 2 safes in window over $600.00 Hid in managers car Portland Ore. grabbed manager & boy when they got in car. Drove around

quite awhile + back to store, (got the money) These should all be easy to verify. only cover was dark glasses except the police uniform. [REDACTED] had elaborate make up kit, even wigs, but hardly ever used it. I wouldn't call [REDACTED] a blonde but he has real light eye brows that he tries to hide. He [REDACTED] for years, one time he brought near 50,000 home, same day made hundreds of dozen donuts (had kids sell them door to door. Had Cadillac but to cover money - he traded in Cadillac for Chevie and later a Volkswagon. (coincidence) He once told me he would have enough money to last a lifetime (with businesses) if he could get 100,000. Said he knew how to get it. hijack a plane, make them deliver 200,000 to a spot where I could pick it up, and then he would jump out, and I could pick him up when he got to a phone and told me where he was at. I told him, 'the FBI would cover the money on the ground and they would close in when we got together.' He also told me he had jumped in marines. Was at [REDACTED] Calif. in marines around [REDACTED]. (Reason for suspicion) Same amount of money he suggested to me. Lives in [REDACTED] Ore. Same way he suggested to me except he took money with

him which leaves no trail on ground. Took plane 20 miles from his home. Supposed to left plane 50 miles from home. The 209,000 would suggest a pardner. He has more than enough nerve to pull this for this much money. I assumed from statement on T.V. that two people could identify him. Assuming he changed his appearance some he won't show a lot of money fast or ever. He was always in debt even when he had lots of money. Did give his Mother 5000.00 once to pay off home in Walla Walla.

The places I have gave you should be able to identify his picture. Three in [REDACTED] store Seattle. Two in Safeway on (around [REDACTED] and Aurora and two in other Safeway store. Even in full store very few knew what was happening.

With all he had going for him he could be out. If not, I'd have to think he'd sold his idea to someone and I don't buy this. Wishing you luck
