Re Los Angeles letter to Kansas City, 7/11/72.

For the information of the Chicago Division, on 6/23/72, a source of the Los Angeles Division stated that seven or eight years ago one LEIF HANSON was a bartender at the Norwood Bar, Nordhoff and Woodley, Sepulveda, Cali- fornia. The source stated that HANSON was of Danish birth, had served in the U. S. Air Force, and was an instructor at Tooele Air Force Base in Greenland. He was mustered out of the Air Force in 1963.

The source stated she had not seen or heard from HANSON for about six years and when last seen, he had taken a job with TWA, New York City, Overseas Personnel Department, because he was bilingual. She described HANSON as around 40 years of age, 5'10", blond hair, blue eyes, slight build, and resembled the composite drawing of D. B. COOPER in captioned case.

On 8/1/72, [REDACTED] Kansas b6 City, Missouri, advised SA JAMES V. LAUGHLIN that their b7C records indicate only one such employee, past or-present:

LEIF E. HANSEN, born in 1936, Social Security No. 565-56-6130, was hired 4/16/66 in New York City as a purser and currently employed as the manager of In-Flight Services Training, TWA, Chicago, Illinois. [REDACTED] advised that HANSEN's file and possibly a photograph can be obtained through the Industrial Relations Department, TWA, Chicago.
