ON NIGHT OF JULY TWENTYFOUR LAST, UNKNOWN MALE TELE- PHONICALLY CONTACTED SALT LAKE CITY FBI OFFICE AND ASKED FOR MR. RIEGE. E. ARTHUR RIEGE, AGENT OF SALT LAKE CITY OFFICE, IS PRESENTLY ON LEAVE. CALLER ASKED IF WE WERE INTERESTED IN OBTAINING THE IDENTITY OF D. B. COOPER; IF SO, AN FBI REPRESENTATIVE SHOULD CHECK INTO THE RAMADA INN, BURLEY, IDAHO, WEDNESDAY, JULY TWENTYSIX NEXT, AND CALLER WOULD MAKE HIMSELF KNOWN TO "SOMEONE REASONABLY IN A POSITION OF AUTHORITY" AND THEREAFTER REVEAL THE IDENTITY OF D.
