Inquiry at Oregon State Employment Service developed information that a group of unemployed former Boeing engineers are currently being retrained at Oregon State University (OSU), Corvallis, Oregon, for employment in other professional capacities. This group is under the direction of GEORGE B. LaBAUN, Associate Professor of Civil Engineers, OSU. [REDACTED] Portland Office, Oregon State Employment Service, advises that a similar program is in operation at Longview, Washington, but [REDACTED] had no details.

Seattle will note that there is no air craft industry as such in the State of Oregon.
