Re Sacramento airtel to Seattle, 4/30/73.
MILES suggested as a suspect by the Los Angeles Division because of his close resemblance to the artist's composite, he is a pilot who owns his own plane, and he was a former para- trooper in the U.S. Army.
MILES is a prominent citizen in the Truckee area and is very active in local politics with no indication of financial problems or indications of unusual wealth. (Note MILES has an excellent motel business). MILES, who was 48 at the time of NORJAK has very gray hair, a narrow face, and has noticeable crooked front teeth.
Contacts with established sources in the Truckee area have failed to disclose MILES' location during pertinent period.
The Latent Fingerprint Section advised, February 23, 1973, NORJAK partials not identical with fingerprints of MILES.
