Re Butte airtel to Seattle, 1/6/73.
On March 6, 1973, Sgt. [REDACTED], Auburn Police Department, Auburn, Washington, advised their records contained no criminal charges placed against RICHARD DOUGLAS SHINN. He found one 1970 traffic citation for a RICHARD DOUGLAS SHINN, date of birth November 3, 1921, of a 1962 Chevrolet, Washington license AXU-452.
Sergeant [REDACTED] further advised that he is familiar with a cult of people in the Auburn area known to him as the Happy Valley Commune, some sort of co-op outfit. The outfit is allegedly led by a [REDACTED] and the in- dividual members pool their financial resources in a sort of Communist or socialist manner.
