A person reads every report. Corrections are made by hand, to the data — titles, dates, names, which pages belong together — never to the scans, and they can take a while to appear.

Re: [REDACTED]

Re Seattle airtel to Portland dated 4/20/73.
Contact with Sergeant [REDACTED] Multnomah County Sheriff's Office (MCSO), Portland, Oregon, discloses the fact there was a death in Multnomah County of one TOM COLLINS, which death had been investi- gated by MCSO. [REDACTED] confirmed that no information had been developed indicating that COLLINS' death was a homicide. He stated that the [REDACTED] referred to in referenced airtel is [REDACTED] who is [REDACTED] of Corvallis and Salem, Oregon. [REDACTED] expressed surprise at the story related by [REDACTED] inasmuch as [REDACTED] [REDACTED] is fully aware of his identity, as [REDACTED] [REDACTED] TOM COLLINS. Further, she is well aware that although [REDACTED] he does not fit the description of the unsub in this matter, being short and heavy set.
In view of the above information, it is suggested it would appear [REDACTED] is attempting to get the FBI involved in an investigation [REDACTED] death for reasons of her own and in view of this fact no further action appears warranted pursuant to this lead.
