[REDACTED], Glendale, California, has provided information concerning captioned individual and believes he should be considered a possible suspect in this matter.
[REDACTED] bases his belief on the fact that HAGAN arrived from Eugene, Oregon, in the spring of 1971. He rented a former garage at 3400 San Fernando Road and began selling campers, apparently operating on a shoe string. [REDACTED] recalled that a short time prior to Thanksgiving 1971, he noticed HAGAN carrying two sleeping bags out of the garage facilities. [REDACTED] who was engaged as a caretaker for the property rented by HAGAN, was told by HAGAN that he was going on a camping trip to the Eugene, Oregon area with his wife, but he later learned this was not true,

as he observed HAGAN's alleged wife after his departure. Upon making inquiry, he learned that HAGAN's son possibly accompanied HAGAN to Oregon.
---
He recalled that prior to his departure, HAGAN wore a full beard. After being gone about three weeks, HAGAN returned and his beared appeared to have been shaved off and was just starting to grow back. He was told by [REDACTED] (Last Name Unknown), a relative and employee of HAGAN, that HAGAN had been visiting his parents who live on a farm outside of Eugene.
---
[REDACTED] stated that about Christmas 1971, HAGAN claimed his mother had become critically ill in Oregon and again departed. He left for Oregon driving a Chevrolet and it struck him as unusual that he would not fly if his mother was seriously ill. HAGAN returned from this trip in about one week and during the first part of 1972, HAGAN's small business showed sudden signs of wealth. Large stacks of metal sheeting materials and numerous luxury type campers were purchased. He leased additional property in two other areas of Los Angeles County and the company seemed to have suddenly become well financed. [REDACTED] asked about the sudden display of wealth and was told by [REDACTED] (Last Name Unknown) that HAGAN had recently sold some land in the San Fernando Valley for about $100,000. [REDACTED] also told him that "everything HAGAN touches turns to gold".
---
[REDACTED] stated he was unaware of any military, pilot's or parachuting experience on HAGAN's part and after observing the artist's conception of the hijacker, he stated HAGAN's face appears narrower than that in the drawing. He stated HAGAN is a white male, about 40 years of age, about 6' in height, about 170 to 180 pounds, slender build, dark brown hair, rugged, outdoor-type complexion, and is of Irish descent.
