Re Seattle report of SA RICHARD W. HEAD dated 8/24/72 and Seattle letter to Norfolk dated 11/19/74.
For the information of Charlotte, a former member of the U.S. Navy appeared at the FBI Office, Baton Rouge, Louisiana, after viewing an artist's composite sketch of DAN COOPER regarding subject matter and advised that this individual appeared to be similar to an individual the source had met sometime in 1972 at Norfolk, Virginia, in which the individual was involved as a flying instructor in the Norfolk, Virginia, area.
Norfolk has conducted extensive investigation to locate and identify the individual who appears to be similar in appearance to the artist's conception and is a flight instructor. On 1/6/75, [REDACTED] (protect identity), [REDACTED] Suffolk, Virginia, advised that the artist's conception in subject matter has some slight similarities to a person who has been around the airport in the past but she is positive that this individual is in no way connected currently with the Suffolk, Virginia, Airport.

[REDACTED b6, b7C, b7D], and the Suffolk Airport, Suffolk, Virginia, viewed the artist's conception regarding captioned matter and advised that the artist's conception of DAN COOPER without the glasses appears to be very similar to an individual known to [REDACTED] as HARDEN (phonetic), aka "SARGE" who operates the Tri-County Airport located between Ahoskie and Orlando, North Carolina.
[REDACTED] advised that HARDEN is a former member of the U.S. Air Force and is believed by [REDACTED] to be a former helicopter pilot. [REDACTED] advised that HARDEN, who he has known for approximately 5 years, has purchased a farm and at least two aircrafts during that 5 year period.
[REDACTED b6, b7C, b7D] advised that HARDEN has been in the Suffolk- Norfolk area as a flight instructor off and on but that he has not been associated with any particular flying school in the Norfolk, Virginia, area. [REDACTED] advised that he has never heard of a flying school referred to by the Baton Rouge, Louisiana, source as Corona Flyers or Flying Corporation.
