[REDACTED] On 12/2/74, [REDACTED] Springfield, Oregon, telephonically contacted the Eugene Resident Agency and advised that he was formerly acquainted with an individual named WILLIAM A. C. STUART.
[REDACTED] stated that STUART was formerly employed by the Smeed Sound Service in Eugene; however, has been residing in the Seattle, Washington area since approximately 1968. [REDACTED] described STUART as an egomaniac type individual who meets the physical description of D. B. COOPER. He further advised that STUART, in conjunction with his job, flies commercial airlines up and down the west coast.

The 1968 criss-cross telephone directory for Eugene, Oregon area was examined which revealed a WILLIAM A. C. STUART residing at 1401 Olive Street, Eugene, occupation listed as estimator, Smeed Sound Service.

On 12/3/74, [REDACTED] Smeed Sound Service, 971 W. 8th Avenue, Eugene, Oregon, was contacted and she ad- vised that WILLIAM A. C. STUART formerly worked for that com- pany as an estimator; however, he left in 1968 and has been residing in Seattle since that time. She stated that upon leaving Eugene, he began working for a company known as Ameeco in Seattle. This company was owned by another company known as [illegible]

Aeromarc. [REDACTED] stated that Ameeco went out of business in 1971 and she does not know where STUART is presently employed.
[REDACTED] stated that STUART was formerly from a southern state and that he attended the University of Oregon prior to working for that firm. She further advised that while he was in Eugene he was married and divorced.
She described him as being approximately 35 years of age, 5'11", dark hair, blue eyes, 160 pounds, and talks with a slight southern accent.
[REDACTED] stated that she saw STUART approximately one week ago and that he occasionally comes down to the Eugene area. She further advised that STUART is listed in the Seattle phone directory and at this time she produced a Seattle phone directory and indicated the name and address in the book. His name is listed in the Seattle phone directory as WILLIAM ALEXANDER COCKE STUART, 12929 Empire Way S., telephone 772-5347.
The Oregon Department of Motor Vehicles, Salem, Oregon, advised on 12/4/74 that their records indicate that WILLIAM ALEXANDER COCKE STUART, 2685 Bowmont Drive, Eugene, Oregon 97405 was issued Oregon drivers license #982101 on 11/15/73. He is described as a male, 6', 180 pounds, DOB 11/30/39.
On 12/4/74, [REDACTED] Eugene Water and Electric Board, advised that she could locate no record for a WILLIAM ALEXANDER COCKE STUART and she also advised that they have no listing for 2685 Bowmont Drive in Eugene.
On 12/4/74, the Eugene, Oregon criss-cross directory was examined which revealed that the numbers located on Bowmont Drive go as high as 2595 and there is no such address as 2685 Bowmont Drive. It was noted that an individual named DONALD BICK currently resides at 2585 Bowmont Drive. BICK is an attorney in Eugene.
On 12/4/74, a physical examination was conducted in the 2500 block of Bowmont Drive which revealed that the last home on that street was 2595 and there was no such number as 2685.
