RE: STANLEY HAROLD ANDERSON SUB #785

Re Seattle letter to Denver, dated 2/5/76.

---

The following investigation was conducted by SA DONALD W. LYON, JR. at Johnstown, Colorado:

On 2/17/76, HAROLD and MARIE ANDERSON, Johnstown, Route 1, Box 90, Johnstown, Colorado, were interviewed regarding their son, STANLEY HAROLD ANDERSON. Also present at the interview was GLEN ANDERSON, younger brother of STANLEY HAROLD ANDERSON. GLEN ANDERSON advised that his brother, STANLEY HAROLD ANDERSON, was a paratrooper in the U.S. Army in 1945 and that he went through airborne training in Ft. Benning, Georgia. GLEN ANDERSON stated that on his brother's last of his five test jumps, STANLEY HAROLD ANDERSON's arm was caught in the rigging of his chute as the chute opened, severely dislocating ANDERSON's right arm and breaking the right shoulder. He stated that as a result of this accident, his brother cannot lift his arm much higher than chest level and that this is quite evident in his brother's motions.

GLEN ANDERSON further advised that his brother left the United States in February of 1973 and presently resides in St. George, Australia, where he is self-employed as a farmer. He stated prior to his leaving, he borrowed $150,000.00 from the Land Bank at Greeley, Colorado, and that at the time of captioned skyjacking, his brother was the owner of a 240-acre farm and could be termed "well to do". GLEN ANDERSON displayed a photograph of his brother to the interviewing Agent and it is noted that STANLEY HAROLD ANDERSON does not resemble the artist's conception of the subject at all. GLEN ANDERSON is described as a White male, American, 5'9", 175 lbs., completely gray hair, DOB 5/24/24.
