[redacted] McMinnville, Oregon, telephone 472-7707, furnished the following information in the Portland, Oregon, offices of the Federal Bureau of Investigation.

Present at the same time and participating in the interview on an equal basis was [redacted] Oregon, telephone [redacted].

[redacted] is a reporter for the McMinnville News Register; [redacted] is a reporter for the Salem, Oregon, Capitol Journal. The two of them as a personal project have developed information leading them to believe that one [redacted] may possibly be identical to the subject known as DAN COOPER.

Portions of their information were obtained from a third party who resides at McMinnville, Oregon, and has made somewhat of a hobby out of the DAN COOPER case. They have not obtained this individual's permission to make his name available to the FBI, but will do so and arrange for an interview of this individual by Bureau Agents.

---

They have been in contact with U. S. Postal Inspector [redacted] Portland, Oregon, and had determined that [redacted] U. S. Postal Service, Seattle, Washington, were the subjects of a [redacted] case number [redacted] as of June 8, 1973. [redacted] has advised that these individuals were the subject of a U. S. Postal Service wanted flier. [redacted] is also known as [redacted]. Based on information received from Inspector [redacted] it would appear that [redacted] is presently on probation or parole at Great Falls, Montana, as a result of postal violations for which he was tried and convicted at Spokane, Washington.

---

They further believe that [redacted] is identical to an individual named [redacted] who for a period of time prior to November, 1971, was employed as [redacted] the McMinnville Community Hospital, McMinnville, Oregon.
