Re memo of SC FRANCIS E. ENTLER, dated 11/24/75.

On 1/5/76, RON OVECHKA, Accountant, Cable TV-Puget Sound, 1651 Center Street, Tacoma, Washington, advised that he has known [REDACTED] since approximately 1967 or 1968. He said he served with [REDACTED] at McChord Air Force Base when they were both assigned [REDACTED]. He said [REDACTED] at McChord and that he worked [REDACTED].

He said he had mentioned the possibility of [REDACTED] being involved in the D.B. COOPER hijacking to [REDACTED]; however, he said he had mentioned it only in jest and did not seriously believe that [REDACTED] could be involved. He said the reason that he believes [REDACTED] could not be involved is because of his personality, which he describes as an uptight eradic-type [sic] personality, and he stated that he felt that [REDACTED] was not smart enough to pull off a hijacking as did the individual known as D.B. COOPER. He further described [REDACTED] as being a very moral and religious person. He said the only reason he had even mentioned [REDACTED] in the past was the fact that [REDACTED] had had survival training and parachute training while in the Air Force.

He further stated that [REDACTED] did not even resemble the photographs or artist's conception which he has seen of the individual known as D.B. COOPER, and he said another reason that he feels [REDACTED] could not have been the hijacker was the fact that he has [REDACTED]. He described [REDACTED] as a white male, 5'10"-5'11", 155-160 lbs, and approximately 40 years of age in 1968.

In view of the above, it is not felt that further investigation is warranted concerning [REDACTED] as [REDACTED] possible suspect in this matter.
