On 12/17/75, one [redacted] came to the Pasadena Resident Agency of the FBI and advised that he wished to furnish information on captioned matter. He advised as follows:
He is employed as a [redacted] and has a mailing address of [redacted] Nevada [redacted]. This is a very small town approximately [redacted] miles north of Las Vegas. He can be reached through a telephone contact there at [redacted]. He travels [redacted].
Approximately three weeks ago he was at the Las Vegas, Nevada, Airport where he had taken a friend, and upon returning to Las Vegas he volunteered to give two men a ride. These two men were both pilots and had [redacted] to Las Vegas. They had their luggage, and [redacted] heard them comment that they were tired of waiting for a taxi cab. After volunteering transportation for them, they invited him into the Riviera Hotel to have drinks with them. During the course of their conversation the topic turned to flying, inasmuch as all three individuals are pilots.
[redacted] had a recent publication of the "National Enquirer" newspaper and while browsing through this paper, he came across a picture and artical [sic] regarding the D. B. COOPER of this investigation. He stated that his two acquaintances immediately stated that they knew this individual but had never reported it to authorities.

[REDACTED] pointedly asked questions regarding the individual that they suspected and determined that it was one [REDACTED] (all phonetic). According to these two men, [REDACTED] was a pilot who had [REDACTED] [REDACTED] in Kansas City, Missouri. He supposedly had a thorough knowledge of Trans World Airlines (TWA) aircraft as he had specifically installed equipment on such aircraft.
[REDACTED] stated that his two acquaintances were very serious and emphatic that they believed [REDACTED] was identical with D. B. COOPER, and one jokingly stated that he was so sure of the identification that he had even considered attempting to blackmail him. They noted that [REDACTED] was apparently [REDACTED] and that he seemed to have had considerable trouble with [REDACTED] about the time of the D. B. COOPER hijacking. After the hijacking, [REDACTED], and [REDACTED] has had no further [REDACTED].
[REDACTED] stated that he recalled that [REDACTED] had worked in the Pacific Northwest and would have a thorough knowledge of that area. [REDACTED] could offer no further aid towards identi- fying and locating [REDACTED] other than that he could be located through the aircraft industry in the Kansas City area.
[REDACTED] was questioned as to why he had delayed in turning this information over to the FBI if he considered the information to be of value. He stated that the more he thought of his conversation with the two individuals the more he became convinced that there was some merit to what they said regarding the identification of [REDACTED] as being identical to D. B. COOPER.
