On 8/10/76, Major FRED YOUNG, Criminal Investigative Division (CID), Honolulu Police Department (HPD), advised that HPD had received an anonymous telephone call stating that an individual by the name of DICK COOPER resided at 47-732 Hui Kelu Street and it was the opinion of the anonymous caller that this individual because of the similarity of names could possibly be identical with D. B. COOPER, unknown subject in captioned matter. Major YOUNG stated that from a preliminary inquiry by HPD, the only information available concerning this individual is that he is the owner of a 1975 Chevrolet, Hawaii license 1B776, and he has an account at the Bank of Hawaii (BOH).
On 8/10/76, [REDACTED] (former SA), [REDACTED], BOH, Honolulu, Hawaii, advised that a RICHARD O. COOPER residing at the above address has a used auto loan at the Kaneohe Branch of the BOH and [REDACTED] [REDACTED] COOPER's Social Security Number is [REDACTED] and he is employed as a salesman at Bay Chevrolet, Kaneohe, Hawaii.

On 8/11/76, [REDACTED] further advised that bank records indicate that COOPER opened a BOH account on 9/11/75 and that account information disclosed COOPER's mother's maiden name as THOMAS and his wife's maiden name as JESSIE CROSS. His wife's Social Security Number is 500-20-6380. COOPER formerly maintained an account at the Miami County National Bank, Poala, Kansas, and he has Kansas driver's license #E4J584, expiration date 11/14/78.
CRANE also advised COOPER listed a previous residence as Route 1, Parker, Kansas, and listed his only living parent as LILLIE B. COOPER, Route 1, Carrollton, Missouri. He listed an additional relative as [REDACTED] [REDACTED] Pilot Grove, Missouri. COOPER indicated in bank records that as of 3/29/76, he had resided in Hawaii for approximately nine months.
