RE SUB 848, BILLIE DEAN MC CONNELL
Re Seattle airtel to Portland, 8/25/77.
BILLIE DEAN MC CONNELL, Manager, Jantzen Beach Shell Service Station, which is located in the Jantzen Beach complex at the south end of the Interstate Bridge, was interviewed by SA RALPH P. HIMMELSBACH on 9/2/77 concerning this matter.
It was obvious from the outset that MC CONNELL could not be identical with Unsub in this matter for the following reasons:
MC CONNELL is only 45 years of age at this time being approximately nine years younger than the median age of Unsub, aka DAN COOPER. MC CONNELL has blue eyes, fair complexion, light brown, very thin straight hair, and is 5'11" in height. In addition, he has several large and prominent scars in the center and left portion of his forehead.
MC CONNELL advised that during the hijacking in this matter, he was in Honolulu, Hawaii.
In view of the above information, no further investigation regarding this lead appears indicated.
