WILLIAM JOHN RATACZAK, Route One, South Haven, Minnesota, telephone number 612-236-7982, was interviewed telephonically and furnished the following information:

He was contacted by a Dr. (First Name Unknown) SUMMERS around the last week of March, 1977, and was asked by SUMMERS to act as a consultant for a movie or television production about the hijacking. He informed SUMMERS that permission from Northwest Orient Airlines (NWAL) must be obtained. He discussed the matter with the NWAL [REDACTED] (Last Name Unknown), [REDACTED] DONALD NYROP, Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the Board, NWAL, Minneapolis, Minnesota. [REDACTED] is supposed to have received [REDACTED] from SUMMERS concerning [REDACTED]

SUMMERS asked him to come to California the first week of April, 1977, to discuss the film, but he did not go. He stated that SUMMERS advised him that he had permission and full cooperation from the FBI and Attorney General GRIFFIN BELL. SUMMERS also informed him that a complete FBI file on the hijacking had been given to him from "the West Coast", but no specific office was mentioned. RATACZAK thought this odd if the investigation was not closed. He thinks that [REDACTED] stewardess, NWAL, may [REDACTED] but did not state any specific connection with SUMMERS obtaining any FBI file.

SUMMERS also stated to him that the place the hijacker was thought to have bailed out of the NWAL flight was incorrect, but SUMMERS did not state the exact location. SUMMERS said that D.B. COOPER, died in 1975, not as a result of bailing out of the NWAL flight, and COOPER had spent time in prison, possibly Nebraska, with JAMES EARL RAY. RATACZAK told SUMMERS that he had notes on the hijacking and SUMMERS said he wanted to see them and told RATACZAK they could compare everything they had.
