On 11/3/76, [redacted] Clearfield, Utah, Police Department, telephonically contacted the Salt Lake City Headquarters Office and advised that an informant of his had advised him that he knew the whereabouts of D. B. COOPER, subject in the NORJAK case. [redacted] advised his informant only knew of subject as living in the [redacted] Utah, area under the name of [redacted] and was residing with [redacted] [redacted] The informant advised that the subject had bragged of his expertise in parachuting and gave an indication of being involved in the NORJAK case.

On 11/19/76, the residence of MICHAEL HURREN was viewed at [redacted] Utah. In the driveway was parked a silver-colored Porsche bearing Utah license NCF 878 registered to MICHAEL HURREN, [redacted] [redacted] Utah. Also in the driveway was a 1973 Triumph bearing Utah license [redacted] registered to [redacted] [redacted] same address.

Efforts to contact HURREN at the [redacted] residence resulted in contact with [redacted] who advised that [redacted] MIKE were members of the Sea Gull Sport Parachute Club with headquarters at the Logan, Utah, City Airport. She advised that MIKE travels extensively regarding activities of the Sea Gull Sport Club instructing and practicing parachute jumping in the United States and other countries.

[REDACTED] said MIKE is associated with JIM FONNESBECK or FONESBECK. She stated the Club owns a DC-6 airplane which was purchased from the Pacific Airways in Washington or Alaska. The DC-6 plane has no numbers but has written on the outside "Pacific Galactic." She advised that [REDACTED] of Brigham City, Utah, is part-owner of the Sea Gull Sport Club, and he helped finance the club. [REDACTED] is described as follows:

Attempts were made to contact MIKE HURREN in December, 1976, and January, 1977, and it was determined that he and members of the Club in December were in Miami, Florida, and in January were in Australia instructing in jumping procedures.

Logan City police records show JIM FONNESBECK was arrested 4/29/70, for unlawful selling of marijuana, date of birth 5/14/51, 6', 150 pounds, brown hair, hazel eyes, place of birth Preston, Idaho. FONNESBECK, according to deputies of the Cache County Sheriff's Office, Logan, who know him personally, was on the Olympic parachuting team.
