RICHARD WILLIAMS, Sheriff, Klickitat County Sheriff's Office, advised on March 28, 1977, that JOE DAN DUNN, Date of Birth September 15, 1929, currently of Klickitat County, is a close lookalike to individual using the name DAN COOPER.

WILLIAMS advised that Washington State Patrol [REDACTED] came across DUNN operating Oregon plates while allegedly being a resident of the State of Washington. During the citation and in court, [REDACTED] noted the similarity between DUNN and individual who hijacked the airplane in November, 1971.

Sheriff WILLIAMS advised that his office has received unverified reports that anyone who comes near the DUNN residence on Oak Flat Road is met by DUNN in possession of a weapon. Sheriff WILLIAMS advised that his office is currently investi- gating this at this time.
According to [REDACTED], WSP, DUNN was an employee at The Boeing Company and is very familiar with The Boeing airplanes.
Sheriff WILLIAMS advised that he would immediately notify the FBI Resident Agency at Yakima, if he obtains any additional information on this subject as pertains to captioned case.
