INVESTIGATION BY SEATTLE TODAY CONSISTED OF INTERVIEWING VARIOUS PERSONS IN GENERAL VICINITY OF SEARCH AREA, WHO INDICATED THEY MAY HAVE SEEN OR OBSERVED SOMETHING CONNECTED WITH THE CASE. NOTHING OF SUBSTANCE DEVELOPED. SEATTLE CONTINUING TO CHECK OUT QUOTE LOOK ALIKES ENQUOTE.
PORTLAND ADVISES TWO D.B. COOPER LETTERS RECEIVED IN PORTLAND; BOTH LETTERS AND ENVELOPES BEING FORWARDED TO FBI LABORATORY. OTHER INVESTIGATION BY PORTLAND RELATING TO LOOK ALIKES CONDUCTED, WITH NO POSITIVE RESULTS.
IN REGARD TO PHILADELPHIA TELETYPE TODAY, WHICH MENTIONED POSSIBILITY OF CONCEALMENT BEHIND INSPECTION PANELS IN FUSELAGE OF AIRCRAFT, LAS VEGAS ADVISED TODAY THAT BOTH OF THESE PANELS AND THE AREAS BEHIND THEM WERE INSPECTED WHILE PLANE WAS ON GROUND AT RENO, NEVADA. NOTHING WAS FOUND.
