The following investigation was conducted by SA [REDACTED]
AT SPOKANE, WASHINGTON
On December 9, 1971, [REDACTED] [REDACTED] Spokane, Washington, advised that [REDACTED] [REDACTED] and until recently had resided in the Portland, Oregon, area. She said that up until the pre- vious week he had been employed by some machine company in Gresham, Oregon. She said he had come to Spokane on December 4th, and was planning to be remarried in Spokane on December 10, 1971. She said that [REDACTED] is a helicopter pilot and a light plane pilot, but that she had never known him to do any parachute jumping.

[REDACTED] stated that she was sure that [REDACTED] was not involved in any illegal activity of any kind, and while he was not there at this particular time, he would be available for interview on the morning of December 10th.

On December 10, 1971, [REDACTED] was in- terviewed at [REDACTED] where he is temporarily residing [REDACTED]. He advised that he was born [REDACTED] [REDACTED] at Ukiah, Oregon, is 6' tall, weighs 205 lbs, has dark hair, thinning, hazel eyes, medium complexion and a tattoo of [REDACTED]. He said he is divorced but was remarrying on that day, December 10, 1971.

[REDACTED] stated that he had been employed by [REDACTED] Gresham, Oregon, and that on November 24, 1971, the day before Thanksgiving, he worked the swing shift from 3:30 PM until midnight. He said that up until the time he left for work, he had been at the home of [REDACTED] [REDACTED] Portland, Oregon, and had been driven to Gresham, Oregon, where [REDACTED] [REDACTED] is located. [REDACTED] stated that his whereabouts from 3:30 until midnight on November 24, 1971, could be verified at the [REDACTED] Gresham, Oregon.

[REDACTED] advised that he is licensed helicopter pilot, but has not flown fixed wing aircraft since 1961.
