A person reads every report. Corrections are made by hand, to the data — titles, dates, names, which pages belong together — never to the scans, and they can take a while to appear.

Result of examination:

---

Q23 through Q28 could not be associated with any of the specimens represented in the Anonymous Letter File. Copies of Q23 through Q28 have been added to this file for future reference.

No watermarks, indented writing or other features were found on Q23 through Q28 which would be of value in determining the source of these specimens. It could not be determined whether the paper on which the questioned letters were prepared originated from government stock.

The typewriting on Q23 through Q28 most closely matches Laboratory standard for a pica style of type used on Singer electric typewriters. Similar styles of pica type are found on Smith-Corona typewriters.

It was not determined whether the Christmas stamps on Q23, Q25 and Q27 were originally attached, because of a lack of significant defects in the torn edges of these stamps.

Q24, Q26 and Q28 are carbon copies of the same original letter with the exception of the numbers at the bottom of each of these specimens.

The submitted evidence was photographed and will be returned separately.
