In an effort to locate and identify sky diving clubs in the Richmond, Virginia territory, contact was made with Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), GADO, Byrd Field, Sandston, Virginia, and although FAA does not license these clubs, they did maintain a list of clubs in their territory, which was compiled in 1967.

The list furnished by FAA does not cover the Virginia counties of Rockingham, Greene, Madison, Culpeper and Stafford and all counties of Virginia north of these. These counties are covered by the FAA, FSDO, Washington National Airport, Washington, D. C.

Furthermore, the FAA list did not cover Virginia counties Giles, Pulaski and Carroll or the Virginia counties west of these. The counties in this area are covered by the FAA, GADO, Kanawha County Airport, Administration Building, Charleston, West Virginia.

---

The following sky diver clubs as furnished by FAA are located in the Norfolk territory:

1. Norfolk Sky Divers - to be contacted through Newport News, Virginia.

2. Peninsula Sky divers - to be contacted through Yorktown, Virginia.

3. Tidewater Navy Sky Divers - to be contacted through the U. S. Naval Amphibious Base, Little Creek, Virginia. This club meets at NAS, Oceana, Virginia.
