On 5/18/72 [REDACTED] FAA Aeronautical Center, advised FAA currently maintains records of over 850,000 licensed pilots. [REDACTED] advised licensed pilots are filed only by name or pilot license certificate number and not by age. [REDACTED] further advised FAA does not maintain photos of each licensed pilot. [REDACTED] advised records are permanently maintained at FAA on pilots whose licenses have been revoked, expired or lapsed.
