RE: TEMPORARY RESTRICTED AREA LAKE MERWIN DAM.

---

On the afternoon of March 23, 1972, [REDACTED] FAA, Portland, Ore. advised that a temporary restriction order was being issued for the Army Heliport at Merwin Dam. Written confirmation for the issuance was requested by [REDACTED]

[REDACTED] advised that the order would establish a one (1) mile (statute) radius from the dam wall itself, and up to 4000 MSL.

[REDACTED] requested that the letter to confirm the request be sent to the following address:

Federal Aviation Administration FSS 5410 N. E. Marine Drive. Portland, Ore 97218.

---

Another call was received from FAA Northwest Regional Office, Boeing Field advising that it needs a written request for the temporary restricted area. The order has been placed in effect.

Suggest that a letter be written to one address with a copy to the other.
