ReSFairtel to Sacramento, 5/10/72, setting forth information supplied by [REDACTED].

On 5/12/72, [REDACTED] [REDACTED] Oroville, California, advised SA [REDACTED] as follows:

During the latter part of March, 1972, [REDACTED] was at his cabin in [REDACTED] California, when he was approached by a fellow camper, who identified himself as [REDACTED]. According to [REDACTED] [REDACTED] was camping in the [REDACTED] and claimed that he at one time lived in the Pomona, California, area where he was a race-car driver.

[REDACTED] stated that [REDACTED] was "glassy-eyed" and may have been on drugs. During a rambling conversation with [REDACTED] the latter stated he had been talking to two elderly women in the community and had kidded them that he was D. B. COOPER, the airplane hijacker. [REDACTED] stated he got the impression that the two women took him seriously and did not realize that he was only kidding them.

[REDACTED] was shown a composite of the UNSUB in captioned hijacking and stated [REDACTED] does not resemble the hijacker. [REDACTED] advised that [REDACTED] hairline is much lower than the hijacker's and his general appearance is not similar. He stated he has not seen [REDACTED] in approximately two months.
