Richard G. Kleindienst U.S. Attorney General
Sir: -
I'm taking the liberty to write you directly about a matter that I believe has reached significant status, and deserves to be considered from the highest level.
I am positive I know the man who started this rash of parachute hijacking or skyjacking D.B. Cooper. He has become living proof that this sort of thing can be done successfully, and with his capture I believe the wind would be knocked out of the parachutes of many potential skyjackers before they got off the ground.
I have a credibility problem because of my record and crime. I need the ear of an intelligent person who will not let anything sway his judgement untill he has heard. [guess: what] I have to say. 164-81-3556
[guess: Other] the facts are in and the results proven I hope special

consideration will be given to my case. Your man will not have to talk to me long before he will see that I know what I'm talking about, and why I am positive of my facts. I would say when you find this man you will find at least one hundred eighty thousand dollars. I will tell you how to locate him within twenty four hours. I've known this man nearly twenty years. He has no criminal history. I'm sixty two years old and doing twenty five years for 211 3A in [guess: 19]76 I have served over fourty years behind bars since my father was killed in 1922. I do not want any visible credit for this. I'm not positive this letter goes out unopened or I'd have gave more details. Sam Howard J. Hubbell #84333 1-32 [guess: th] Kan.
