What does the scan show?
A person reads every report. Corrections are made by hand, to the data — titles, dates, names, which pages belong together — never to the scans, and they can take a while to appear.

At 11:15 AM, on 7/12/72, an individual telephonically contacted this office and inquired as to the reward for the NORJAK matter. Inquiry was made and he was informed that it appeared that ATA had stated that up to $250,000 could be given for information pertaining to the identity of the hijacker.
This individual then identified himself as [redacted], Seattle, telephone [redacted]
An effort was made to designate time and place for interview. At this point [redacted] stated he did not want to be contacted at his residence and felt that it would be better for him to come into the FBI Office.
A time for interview was set for 1:30 PM on 7/12/72.
Prior to terminating this interview, he was asked if he thought this was good substantial information that he was about to furnish. He stated that he believed so; that he had been watching this individual whom he would not identify on the phone, for approximately six months. He stated that this person was about to take off for Mexico in the very near future and for that reason he felt this information should be furnished today.
[redacted] advised.
