[REDACTED] furnished the following information concerning himself:

He stated [REDACTED] he was a student at the University of Houston and remains in that status at this time. He was questioned as to his whereabouts during the Thanksgiving holidays, 1971, and he stated he could not precisely recall where he was but believed that he was in this very apartment and spent the day [REDACTED] watching the football games on television. He stated he was a sports fan as far as television was concerned. He was not sure but believed he had two or three days off from the school for Thanksgiving [REDACTED]

He felt confident that he was in school the day before Thanksgiving and had he been in school he would have been in a class called [REDACTED] and another class called [REDACTED] (phonetic). He added that it was very possible that he might have skipped [REDACTED] on that particular day in order to have an [REDACTED] early start for Thanksgiving.

He stated he never left the state of Texas during the fall of 1971 and that the last time he flew in an airplane was to Detroit, Michigan in August, 1971. He stated that the last time he was in the Washington state area was approximately two years ago during the late summer when he [REDACTED] drove their 1966 LeMans Pontiac convertible to visit friends and relatives in that area. He stated that he was a parachutist with the U. S. Air Force and that following his service time he parachuted in Canada and Washington state; however, he stated it has been ten years since his last jump. He believed that his last jump was during an Easter festival in Euphrata, Washington. He stated that he has jumped approximately 150 to 180 times in his life.

He stated that he was not employed during November, 1971.

He advised that quite often he wears a beard and could very well have been wearing a beard during November, 1971.

He admitted that on many occasions he does wear sideburns, with or without a beard. It was noted that he did not have a beard nor was he wearing sideburns at the present time. He was questioned concerning hijackings, and he advised that while he was in service, he and another individual who was not a chutist had discussed such a thing wherein a parachutist could [guess: nob] board an airplane and hold up the passengers and thereafter bail out. He stated that the thought at that time was of the valuables on the plane and not any ransom money at all. He stated that during discussions such as this, he knew no one that even remotely appeared to be serious at doing such a stunt.

---

[REDACTED] was displayed an artist's conception photograph of D. COOPER, and after he studied the photograph, he admitted that there were resemblances between this photograph and himself. At this time he then displayed a pair of sunglasses which he stated that were similar to the ones depicted in the photograph. He stated his sunglasses were prescription and from appearance they were black in color with the lens being very dark, and it was noted that the left ear piece had been broken near the lens and had been glued together again.
