On November 17, 1973, Minneapolis advised as follows:
Records of the Minnetonka, Minnesota, Police Department reflect 1973 Chevrolet Impala, [REDACTED] b6 stolen from new car lot of [REDACTED] Vehicle b7C was on lot on October 26, 1973, but noted missing during inventory of November 15, 1973. No suspects developed at point of theft.

[REDACTED] doing business as [REDACTED] New Ulm, Minnesota, advised [REDACTED] On September 25, 1973, he purchased a 1968 Lincoln, four-door hardtop, [REDACTED] through the [REDACTED] Crystal, Minnesota. He has not taken possession of the vehicle at this time and b6 it is sitting inside the fence of [REDACTED] At the b7C time he purchased the vehicle it was bearing Minnesota License [REDACTED] He does not know if the plates are presently on the vehicle and the name of [REDACTED] means nothing to him. [REDACTED] advised he checked above Lincoln and determined the front license tag was missing. On the rear of the vehicle was Minnesota tag [REDACTED] He stated at the time the vehicle went through the auction it had Minnesota tag [REDACTED] on the rear and no tag on the front. He does not know how the original tag was removed or where the present tag came from.
