---

[REDACTED] described [REDACTED] who told a lot of stories and, among other things, claimed to be a parachutist and ex-Green Beret. She noted he never showed her a parachute or explained how they worked. She recalled he flew his own plane and described him as an extremely intelligent person.

---

She added she was well aware of the rumors con- cerning [REDACTED] identity as possibly being that of D. B. COOPER and that these allegations began shortly after he left McMinnville Community Hospital. Further, it was determined by other staff members that [REDACTED] She noted [REDACTED] in her mind, was capable of such an act as the Northwest hijacking, but did not believe him to be identical to D. B. COOPER. She added she was not employed at McMinnville Community Hospital, nor was she living in the area during the pertinent period of November, 1971, and therefore, could not comment on [REDACTED] activities during the weekend of November 24, 1971. On March 16, 1976, [REDACTED] [REDACTED] Salem, Oregon, was interviewed at his residence. [REDACTED] stated he was currently employed [REDACTED] [REDACTED] at Salem General Hospital, Salem, Oregon. [REDACTED] noted he had previously been employed [REDACTED] [REDACTED] at McMinnville Community Hospital, McMinnville, Oregon. He noted he began work at McMinnville Community Hospital just after the hijacking of the Northwest Orient Airlines plane on November 24, 1971, and that [REDACTED] [REDACTED] was known to him [REDACTED] for the hospital. He pointed out it was his opinion, from the beginning, [REDACTED] had the earmarks of being a phony, and he believed [REDACTED] became aware of [REDACTED] After being at McMinnville Hospital a short while, [REDACTED] heard from various sources that [REDACTED] [REDACTED] had Thanksgiving weekend off, November, 1971, which [REDACTED] verified through hospital records, and that [REDACTED] came back from that weekend with a noticeable limp. Additionally, [REDACTED] flew his own plane and claimed to be a parachutist and ex-Green Beret. considerations, [REDACTED] discussed this possibility with other members of the staff and believed it was he who started the rumors concerning [REDACTED] possibly being the hijacker. However, after the description of COOPER was made public by the FBI and after viewing artist conceptions of COOPER, he was sure [REDACTED] was not identical, as [REDACTED] was too heavy and did not otherwise meet the hijacker's description. [REDACTED] pointed out [REDACTED] was a stocky individual, who is shorter than COOPER's alleged height, and he could not recall [REDACTED] but did remember [REDACTED] which was notice- able. He further recalled [REDACTED] with [REDACTED] continued, while he believed [REDACTED] possessed the intelligence and capability to carry out a hijacking, he was relatively sure [REDACTED] was not D. B. COOPER.

B. COOPER. She noted she was quite upset about it.
