Dear [REDACTED]:
Received your very welcome letter when I came in from my job on the gate. Too bad you have ? the coworkers you have. It is nearly unbelievable the people they make caseworkers.
I'm in a good situation here. for a person doing the time. I'm for the charge I [guess: on] [guess: hurl] for. Last [guess: Saturday] I [guess: wasn't] [guess: flipping] for [guess: am] [guess: hours]. one. [illegible] Saturday [guess: we'd] [guess: flew] – to [REDACTED] home a hundred miles. It is sure different [guess: than] the big places.
Yes, I'll sure enjoy seeing you [REDACTED] and try to [guess: relive] [guess: how] [guess: much] the times has passed.
I sure [guess: know] how you think of [REDACTED] as I feel the same way. [guess: I'll] let you know. I'm [guess: positive] about [REDACTED] & of his [guess: cases].
[REDACTED] and I were in L.A. looking at - [guess: real] large Dept. store for 2 weeks and [guess: decided] we [guess: couldn't] get the [guess: lift] on the one day [guess: we] see them collecting the loot. But after [guess: we] [guess: weeks] [guess: also] on the day we had [guess: picked] [REDACTED] locked down. He was trying to explain [guess: and] he said he wasn't [guess: sure] [guess: why] he.

couldn't go ahead, but [guess: another] duty cop had [guess: pulled] a fellow the night before by [guess: posing as] a [guess: clerk] & with his [guess: piece] under [guess: an] apron got him the [guess: roller] as he was leaving. [guess: I felt] it was quite a let down after two weeks, and since then not sure how much we missed. He were sitting in a motel in North Hollywood where you and [REDACTED] once stayed. All of a sudden [REDACTED] said, "you said you want 100,000 - I [guess: want] 100,000. I know [guess: him] we can get the 200,000. I told him I was listening and this is what he told me. (He would go to Seattle and catch a 727 going south. He would demand 200,000 and after we got the money we jump out before we got to Portland. Sounds a little crazy and I told him I didn't know if I could jump out for a million. He said, "I didn't have to jump out just stay on the ground with 2 way radio and [guess: get us] together, and out after he was done." It just didn't sound like [REDACTED] and I asked him where he got such an idea. He said [REDACTED] Well that was even more far out, but he told me [REDACTED] had been trying to get [REDACTED] to take him on whatever we was [guess: flying] when we would leave [guess: broke] & come home flush. [REDACTED] said the reason his [guess: me] [guess: ver] took him was because if any thing went [guess: haywire] DB Cooper 16512
tell the[ir] mother and their mother would never [guess: forgive] [REDACTED] for getting [REDACTED] in b6 trouble. b7C
C[K]: lets look at a few things I know and [REDACTED] knows I know. [REDACTED] used to always go into a motel as D. B. Cooper. He signed me into a motel in Hollywood as [REDACTED] D. B. Cooper. b6 I asked him how come he used the b7C same name all the time and he said, "It was easy to remember and [guess: besides] one[s] knew his [guess: real] it.
After [guess: he] got caught [REDACTED] decided to go on his own and he had a parachute in a bag on the plane, but believe it or not a woman took his bag by mistake and he just decided to go ahead so he asked for 10,000 20s and 14 chutes — when he bought his ticket he gave his name as D.B. Cooper. Ever since he brought [REDACTED] b6 [REDACTED] without telling me I [guess: don't] [guess: feed] him. b7C - I told [REDACTED] she didn't want it she said. [REDACTED] [REDACTED] and she wanted it. You're thinking the same as me as far as he is concerned. He once said he would like a lot of money to feel secure and not spend much of it for a long time.
I figure it might be like an ace in the hole, and he probably has most of the money. Yes I go to the [guess: board] in oct. I'm not sure I told you, when I went up in 1/3 the parole judges both recommended parole for me to C.T.C. Houston. ([REDACTED]) that was oct and I was to stay at CTC till Feb. 25 and be released [REDACTED] Regional office sent it to D.C. National turned it around gave me 3 yrs, set off, oct 75.
Yes, I will be thinking of Phoenix. [REDACTED] the [guess: clearance] at 12th & [guess: Northern], name was Northern Cleaners. I couldn't get an answer from them to prove I had worked 6 months of last 2 years. They got on me at the board for not ever going to school to so then I [guess: went] up and got my G.E.D. in Kansas. The [REDACTED] wrote me a letter to congratulate me. Everything I have [guess: is] in [REDACTED] including [REDACTED] [REDACTED]
Boy, you are really short. I'm awfully glad especially with the A Hole you have. I'll be thinking of you and pulling for you [guess: parole] to be on time.
Your Friend always [REDACTED]
