Re Seattle airtel to Charlotte, 6/23/78.

All logical investigation to locate the military record for the date of birth, place of birth, dates of service or Social Security Number of [REDACTED] who, approximately five years ago was an [REDACTED] in the [REDACTED] course at Fort Bragg, N. C., was done and reported in Charlotte communication dated 5/16/78. There are no records available at Fort Bragg, N. C., to reveal the needed information as set forth by the St. Louis Division.

[REDACTED] Fort Bragg, N. C., was contacted on 7/6/78, and after checking her records for the year 1974, advised she was unable to locate any record for an individual by the name of [REDACTED] as ever residing during that period of time on the military reservation on Fort Bragg.

On 7/6/78, [REDACTED] Fort Bragg, N. C., advised he has no records at this location on [REDACTED] but did state there is a possibility that a name check could be made if a dossier exists at the U. S. Army Intelligence Record Repository (USAIRR) at Fort Meade, Maryland. He stated it is possible a name check could be made which may contain either a date of birth, place of birth or Social Security Number if the individual, [REDACTED] had a background investigation or a dossier exists.

[REDACTED] stated he knows of no other location at Fort Bragg, N. C., where the needed military information could be obtained and that the only other place that he knows of is the 201 file which would be at the National Personnel Record Center at St. Louis, Missouri, if in fact [REDACTED] has been discharged.

Charlotte is unable to ascertain the date and place of birth, branch of service, military service number, dates of service or Social Security Number of [REDACTED] as stated above and also as shown in the communication of 5/16/78. Seattle may desire to furnish background information on this matter to Baltimore to have, if the possibility exists, a name check made of [REDACTED] through the U. S. Army Intelligence Record Repository at Fort Meade, Maryland. There is no other record available at Fort Bragg or in the Fayetteville, N. C., area whereby additional identifying or descriptive data of [REDACTED] could be obtained. As stated in Charlotte communication there were only two Instructors left at Fort Bragg who were here at the time [REDACTED] and as further shown in that communication one of the Sergeants presently at Fort Bragg advised that [REDACTED] was from either North or South Dakota and was discharged and upon his discharge he was reportedly returning to his home [REDACTED]

---

In view of the above information no further inquiry is being made by the Charlotte Division.
