At approx. 6:00pm, 3/23/79, writer was telephonically contacted by anonymous male caller who provided the following information.
Caller stated that he was [REDACTED] [REDACTED] Caller advised he is the man who flew D.B. COOPER out of Woodland, Wa., the night of the sky-jacking and COOPER agreed to pay this man $10,000.00 for services rendered.
Caller claims to be in contact with subject and stated he has scheduled a meeting with same for afternoon of April 13,1979. Caller advised COOPER will meet him between 1:00p to 1:30pm, at the TRAVELRS TAVERN, 9th & Stuart, Seattle, Washington. Caller stated that COOPER is using the name of [REDACTED]
Caller provided the following descriptive data of D.B. COOPER: COOPER is to be wearing boots to the meeting, it is not known the exact style of boots to be worn. COOPER is also said to be 5'8" tall and approx. 150lbs., and will be wearing his hair in a crew cut. COOPER also is said to have a [REDACTED] [REDACTED]. Also COOPER will have a ring with an amber stone on his right ring finger. COOPER will be wearing a .357 mag. in shoulder holster and should be considered A&D.
