On August 8, 1980, an individual known as [REDACTED] Officer's Service Club, Washington, D.C. (WDC), contacted Special Agent (SA) [REDACTED] telephonically at the Washington Field Office (WFO) regarding an individual known to him as [REDACTED] who currently resides at the club. [REDACTED] has supplied information regarding his belief that [REDACTED] is identical to unsub, aka D.B. COOPER.

[REDACTED] advised that [REDACTED] intends to depart the United States as soon as possible to London on Pan American Airlines. He indicated that [REDACTED] stopped at his apartment and told him that he would be leaving the United States as soon as practically possible. [REDACTED] advised that [REDACTED] reminded him that [REDACTED] rent is paid until September 15 and that although he is leaving the United States, he is not disappearing from the WDC area.

[REDACTED] indicated to [REDACTED] that his present [REDACTED] will look after his personal effects while he is overseas.

[REDACTED] advised that [REDACTED] does not want to handle his financial affairs through the Officer's Service Club in the future, therefore [REDACTED] asked [REDACTED] to write a letter indicating that [REDACTED] had lived at the Officer's Service Club since December, 1979 and established his bonafides as a tenant.

[REDACTED] advised that [REDACTED] was successful in opening his own savings account at the D.C. National Bank, WDC, and will be able to transfer money via wire on a secure, confidential basis.
