Enclosed for Los Angeles is one copy of Sacramento airtel dated 1/5/82 which contains information necessary to cover leads that are being set forth.

For the information of Seattle, recontact with [REDACTED] South Lake Tahoe, California determined that the Melvin Cooper she referred to, in 1971 would be approximately 45 years of age. She advised that she is attempting to ascertain his exact birth date.

For the information of Los Angeles it is noted that [REDACTED] in late December 1981 advised the Sacra- mento Office that Melvin Cooper, [REDACTED] [REDACTED] had bragged to friends of hers whom she would not identify as being identical with subject of captioned case. She advised that Melvin Cooper was killed in a helicopter crash in the Santa Barbara, Los Angeles area approximately five or six months ago. At that time he was employed in a helicopter rescue company working in the Los Angeles or Santa Barbara area.
