Reference Bureau airtel to Cleveland and Seattle, dated 11/29/83.

Referenced airtel set forth fact that [REDACTED] [REDACTED] Rocky River, Ohio, had written the Bureau concerning captioned matter in that he had seen an artist's sketch of UNSUB on TV, which reminded him of someone.

Numerous attempts were made to meet [REDACTED] after conferring with him telephonically. On a number of occasions he stated that he would be coming downtown and meetings were arranged, meetings that he did not keep. [REDACTED] on at least two or three occasions, requested that the photographs be merely mailed to his business residence.

Finally, [REDACTED] was contacted at his home without a meeting being set up. [REDACTED] stated that the individual in the photograph reminds him of someone he knew during his days in the service, most probably while he was in Korea. He was in the Air Force from approximately [REDACTED] to [REDACTED] as an [REDACTED] and from [REDACTED] to [REDACTED] was in the Reserves. [REDACTED] however, said that he could not provide a name for the individual that reminded him of the artist's conception. Nor could he provide any

information concerning where, when, or how he possibly met this individual. All he really could state was that it definitely reminded him of someone in his past, from his military service, but he had no further idea of this individual's identity.

---

[REDACTED] stated that this was why he was so reluctant to actually meet agents prior to this. He just felt he did not know anything of real value, and would just prefer to have the photograph to look at. In this way he hoped that he could, at some time in the future, remember whom it reminded him of. At the conclusion of the interview, [REDACTED] xeroxed a couple of copies of the artist's conception and advised that he would contact FBI if he could recall anything about the person who it reminded him of.

The following is descriptive data on [REDACTED] himself:

Name: [REDACTED] Sex: Male Race: White Complexion: Medium to swarthy Height: 5'9-10" Weight: 185 lbs. Hair: Brown with gray Eyes: Brown DOB: [REDACTED] SSAN: [REDACTED] Military Service: Air Force Business: [REDACTED]

In that no further leads are outstanding in this matter, Cleveland Division has placed this case in an RUC status.
