SUBJECT: NORJAK; CCA-HIJACKING (A); OO: SE

Enclosed to each recipient are two copies of [REDACTED] [REDACTED] driver's license photograph and computer developed background information.

This matter was initiated upon receipt of a telephone call from [REDACTED] Apache Junction, Arizona, who advised she was in the [REDACTED] who she said was D. B. COOPER, the skyjacker. She said that they had seen the movie about D. B. COOPER and [REDACTED] [REDACTED] She said he now lives at the [REDACTED] and she said that he [REDACTED] [REDACTED] the hijacking. The [REDACTED] he lives in is in Apache Junction, Arizona.

Subsequent efforts to develop background through Police checks and auto licenses and spot checks of the address, were unsuccessful and on 9/13/85, [REDACTED] was interviewed away from her residence after interview was telephonically prearranged.

She advised she now lived at [REDACTED] Apache Junction, Arizona, and [REDACTED] [REDACTED] lived [REDACTED] same address and was building the house.

She advised she first met him in [redacted] in Waukegan, Illinois, and [redacted] at that time, possibly the [redacted]

She continued, at one time [redacted] [redacted] in Hebron, Illinois, and [redacted] [redacted] in Perris Valley, California, and at Lake Pleasant, Arizona sometimes.

She continued, he currently was described as a white male about 5'7" now, having shrunk from approximately 5'9" or 5'10". She said he had been born [redacted] or [redacted] but she was not sure of the exact date. He had been heavier but now was [redacted] and weighed 135. His hair was light brown and graying, greenish blue eyes, and had [redacted] and they were quite prominent. He had attended high school in Knoxville, Illinois, and had not graduated but had been in the Army Airborne about the time of Korea and had gotten his [redacted] then. She said she knew him as [redacted] but did not know a middle name and did not know a place of birth.

She continued, he now wore silver framed glasses. She added that he had been drinking a lot and drank a lot until the end of July, 1985, and he had been drinking for at least the last four years.

She continued, until about a year ago they had lived in Waukegan, Illinois, and they sometimes went to the BURGANDY ROOM and many people there knew him. They used to joke about him being D. B. COOPER and once when he was drunk, [redacted] and later when he was drunk he said, [redacted]

She added that they had come to Arizona during [redacted] from Waukegan, Illinois.

She commented also that he did not appear to have any money.

When questioned concerning his background, she advised he had been adopted and she did not know if he had any brothers or sisters and his mother was [redacted] who is in a nursing home, possibly in Knoxville, Illinois. She is [redacted] and that is the [redacted]

He has been married [REDACTED] (LAST NAME UNKNOWN), who still lives in Waukegan, Illinois.

She commented again that when she first met him, [REDACTED] She added that they [REDACTED] and noted that he was an expert skydiver and has been active in it for a long time. She said [REDACTED] Tacoma or to Vancouver, Washington, [REDACTED] and he commented that he had never been up there.

She observed a group of composites of the subject and she advised they did not look like him at all. She said he [REDACTED] [REDACTED] and she noted that he had been a [REDACTED] during his life. She noted that recently he had been skydiving with [REDACTED] Tempe, Arizona, who has something to do with working for the government in the city of Phoenix. She said he knew him from Chicago. Also with [REDACTED] [REDACTED] Mesa, Arizona, phone number [REDACTED] Also [REDACTED] who lives on [REDACTED] in Apache Junction, Arizona.

She commented that at one time, allegedly a reporter had called him while they were in Waukegan, concerning the fact that people at the bar call him D. B. COOPER. She added also that he had [REDACTED] [REDACTED] and noted again the composites did not look like him at all, including the fact that [REDACTED] [REDACTED]
