Re [REDACTED] ("Unsolved Mysteries" lead).
A review of [REDACTED] sub file reveals that he was suggested as a suspect in this matter by [REDACTED] who had recently seen an "Unsolved Mysteries" television show depicting captioned crime. The reasons [REDACTED] gave for suggesting [REDACTED] as a suspect were as follows:
[REDACTED] was a former BOEING COMPANY employee who had taken flying and parachute lessons. In addition, [REDACTED] told [REDACTED] that he had gotten some money from a man from Canada to buy some property. [REDACTED] stated that the amount of money [REDACTED] talked about was considerable and the circumstances seemed unusual to [REDACTED]

A physical description of [REDACTED] was taken from his Washington State driver's license which expired on [REDACTED] [REDACTED] is a White male, DOB [REDACTED] height five feet ten inches, weight 170 pounds, eyes brown, hair white. The photograph on the driver's license does not in any way resemble the artist's composite of UNSUB in this matter. In addition, [REDACTED] is at least two inches shorter than the height of UNSUB as described by eyewitnesses. Finally, [REDACTED] age at the time of the hijacking would have been [REDACTED] which is approximately [REDACTED] years younger than UNSUB was described as being by eyewitnesses.

In view of the fact that there is no compelling reason to think that [REDACTED] may be involved in captioned crime, and also in view of the fact that there are major physical discrepancies between [REDACTED] and the description that is commonly used for UNSUB, no further investigation concerning [REDACTED] will be conducted.
